A Lovely blog completely dedicated to color inspiration. Umm yes.
The 4th issue of Rue is out! I haven’t gotten a chance to look over it yet- but they never cease to amaze me in every issue, so pretty excited…
Happy Wednesday everybooday!
I’m really trying to make an effort to be fully present throughout my day. Embracing everything around me and letting no moment go by unnoticed. Life goes by waaay to quick. So today I’m going to try and be like these adoorable little bebes, stoping and taking some mental pics of the things around me and taking it all in.
Happy Thursday everyone- embrace it :)

I’m posting a lot more here lately. Sorry Tumblr, I’ve been neglecting you with my new found wedding love. If you wanna keep up with the wedding fun stuff, check out the new wedding blog often for wedding inspiration and updates! It will be fun, really.
I love these colors. Love love love them.
See more on da new wedding blog.
So friends- as you can tell I’ve been a bit busy lately with many things- but the best and funnest thing has been talking about, finding inspiration for, and planning my wedding! There is so much amazing stuff out there and its really all thats been on my mind in my free time :) So- naturally I had to start a new blog totally dedicated to wedding stuff. Check it out friends! weddingswithwaterfalls.blogspot.com (and yes- thats “Weddings With Waterfalls”… can you tell I’m stoked on my soon to be new last name??)
A few of my fav shots from a photo shoot with my lovely friend Erin. Not only is she talented, beautiful, a great musician and amazing singer, but she’s got a strong heart full of gentle love. When she’s famous, I hope she’ll still be my friend.
My other bestie (also named Erin) comes down manana! whoo hoo! Let the festivities begin :)
I just spent far too long looking at the lovely photography portfolio of Johnny Miller. Don’t these photos just make you feel cozy and fresh?
Today I’m feeling kind of how these pictures make me feel; half-productive, tired, a bit discouraged yet also excited, calm, energized, just plain good and encouraged. I don’t know how its possible to feel all of those things all at once but I really do.
Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start! I’m really excited for the upcoming events of this week- Thursday my bestie comes into town for my graduation, as well as my grandpa from Boston, both who I haven’t seen in far too long, Friday my sister flies in from Oregon, I graduate college, have my graduation party that night, then after that its all Christmas all the time! I’m stoked!!
Yay for this week, feelings and lovely food photography :)
So this is the second year in a row where I have been commissioned by my mother to bake the Thanksgiving pies. My assignment: make a pumpkin pie, apple pie, and a specialty sumthin- my choice. So I’m browsing through recipes trying to see which ones to use, and it is so hard to decide with all of the amazing goodness of options out there!
Here are my options for the apple:

“Apple pie without cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze!” Nolan tells me his grandpa used to say that… I really want to try this recipe just because of that quote. I mean- its gotta be great!

I’m a sucker for the crumbs on top of cobbler, so crumb pie sounds pretty awesome.

And this pie just makes me hungry looking at it. Minus the raisins… sorry raisins, but I’m not your biggest fan. Other than that, this pie looks to die for!
For the Pumpkin- the possibilities are endless. I mean look at this actual pumpkin “pie chart” from TasteSpotting:

They have twelve different pumpkin pie recipes to choose from! What?? I didn’t know pumpkin pie could be so complicated…
And I think I know what I’m doing for the specialty pie :) I’m a big fan of all things gooey and melty. So this Brownie Pecan Pie from Bakerella is sounding pretty darn good. I’m excited to bake this, but ooober excited to eat it.

So pretty much I’m super excited about Thanksgiving. Family, baking, and eating. It doesn’t get much better!
But for now I have some serious decisions to make…
