I’ve been so horrible at blogging lately- its not even funny. I think sometimes I just loose that “blogging umph” that I sometimes get so strongly. Anyways- lots has been going on and I have some work I’ve been wanting to share! First off I have a sneak peek of a lovely engagement shoot to share with you! Lauren and Ben. This couple is absolutely adorable- an art major and a math major, a match made in heaven!
More to come… in the mean time, enjoy your Tuesday night and check out this amazing little stationary studio in New York. Definitely some good inspiration for our save the dates :)

Erin and Todd are a wonderful couple who I am blessed to call my friends. We had a great time taking their engagement photos in Fullerton. The day started at a cute little antique shop downtown, and finished with a walk over to the local train station.

They are one of the classiest couples I know, and I had a great time taking their engagement photos. I’m so excited for their wedding in June! Congrats guys! I love you both!

So I’ve been asked many times, “how did he do it?!” and I thought I would post it, so everyone can know the deets of our special time.  I’m going to try and get through this without sounding too cheesy mushy lovey gushy, but thats hard for me at times… so bear with me here!

So.. its Christmas Eve and I had the plans of getting up early, Nolan coming over, and (because I’m the biggest procrastinator ever) we were going to get coffee and finish my Christmas shopping- and I had a lot left to do!  But instead, when I said, “wanna get coffee?”  He replied, “I was thinking… wanna go to Santa Monica?” now, being that we were at my house in Corona, and Santa Monica was kinda far, I knew something was up, but maybe he was just trying to be spontaneous?

Side Note: Santa Monica is where Nolan and I had our first “real date.” He was living in SLO and I had just moved to Corona.  It was the day or two before I left for my semester abroad in Italy, we had been talking all summer and wanted to see each other before I left the country.  So he rode his motorcycle down from SLO and I drove from Corona to meet in Santa Monica… hope that makes sense… but thats the significance of Santa Monica :)  Now back to the story:

So we drove from Corona to Santa Monica, walked around a bit, and stopped to eat some yummy breakfast and coffee at the Crepe Cafe.  When we were done eating, I was thinking about all of the Christmas shopping I still had to do, and asked what we were going to do next, he suggested we take a drive up the 1, and then head back home.

We started driving up the coastline, the weather was perfect, all of the smog was washed away from the non stop rain we were having the week before- LA has never seen a clearer day.  This was the same road we sped down on his motorcycle when we barely knew each other a few years prior.  I started to get nostalgic, remembering the feelings I had riding on the back of that motorcycle when we were so new.  We pulled up to the same lifeguard tower we had sat at that day. We got out of the car, walked up to the cliff, I leaned against him and felt his heart beating extra fast- I knew it was coming…  Sure enough, he turned towards me and started saying all of these things I’m sure were wonderful, but I don’t really remember, all I was thinking was “oh my gooosh” he got down on one knee, busted out this gorgeous ring, and asked me to marry him!!  It was perfect.  We hugged while Nolan said a prayer for us and our future. The tears started streaming down my face, I was overwhelmed that this was really happening!  We hung out and took some pics, went home where my family was waiting to congratulate us.  It was the best Christmas Eve ever.

Here are some pics from the day:

Us sitting on the lifeguard tower, which overlooks this breathtaking view:

oooh yes.

Shoeseys hanging over the edge :)

I’m kinda excited.

The lifeguard tower :)

My prettyful ring!  I am in love with it, especially because its his grandmother’s diamond!  Makes it so much more special and unique :)

So all that being said, I’m pretty stoked, and so excited for my last name to become Waterfall.  How awesome is that??  I thank God for His blessings on us and our relationship, he has brought us through so much, and non of this would have been possible without God leading us the entire way through.  Now we’re all about planning our wedding- I am so excited!  We decided our wedding is going to be the best wedding ever, so be excited peeps.

Have an amaaaazing day everyone!!
