These coffee thermals are adooorable. The best part about these is that you can download the pdf, print them out and put them on your own coffee cup! Perfect for you and your Valentine :) Oh, and incase you were wondering (as I was) “jet’aime” means “I love you.” Simply presh. I also love how they used those wood blocks for their coasters.  I just might have to steal that idea…

I’m loving these fall colors and cute items put together by Black*Eiffel.  They make me feel all fallish on this chilly morning.  You can find the links to each of these items here. Those orange polka-dot coffee cups would make a great Christmas gift for the coffee drinker in your life!

I am so happy the weather is turning cold and cloudy. We even got thunder yesterday! So exciting! I haven’t had a pumpkin spice latte yet, but I can smell it getting closer…
Etsy featured these adorable knitted coffee sleeves today and I’m in love! They’re perfect for drinking any hot beverage on a chilly fall day. You can personalize them to say someones name or favorite drink, which would make great Christmas gifts for that coffee/tea drinker in your life. (Yes, I’m thinking about Christmas… so excited)
Happy Wednesday everyone! As Glenn Pickett (my father) would say- make it a great day!

“I met a lot of people in Europe.  I even encountered myself.”  ~James Baldwin

Lately I’ve been reminiscent of my semester abroad- and missing sipping my morning coffee to this view of Tuscany.  It was a semester full of learning and growing and being stretched.  I took in so much, mentally, spiritually and definitely physically (Italians love to eat!) I’m so glad I had that time in my life.  I still can’t really believe I did it- I mean waking up to that view every morning is a little unreal.
Even though I’m not in Italy anymore, I want to continue to stretch myself, explore the unknown- there are places a mile away from me which I’ve never been.  There are people who live next door to me who I know nothing about.  I think sometimes we think we have to go far away to encounter amazing places and culture.  But maybe we just get so comfortable where we are that we don’t allow ourselves to experience what there is around us.  At least thats what I do. Traveling is amazing, and I can’t wait until I get the opportunity to go back to Europe.  But for now, I want to continue to explore what is around me.  Here and now.
Just a little memory that turned into a thought that popped into my head while I sit at my desk in Southern California, sipping my coffee.

July 4th

Today I feel spontaneous. Maybe its the early fireworks shooting off that are making me feel this way. Maybe its the summer time heat. I’m in a random coffee shop in a random town. I’m loving seeing the different people who come in and wondering where they are going and what their life is like. Everyone is different, everyone is going through something unique to them, yet we are all connected and struggle with so much of the same things. If we would only talk to one another, open up and share our struggles, I think everyone would get along much better. When we can understand where someone is coming from and why they are acting the way they are, it is so much easier to tolerate people when they aren’t acting the way you want them to. Just some thoughts from a girl in a random coffee shop. Thanks for reading.

This coffee mug and stereo have been my best friends lately.  Oh, and I can’t forget about mr. GPS.  He’s up there as well.  I’m in this season of my life where on any day of the week you will find me driving to either LA, San Diego, or Fontana. Traffic is horrible and without my coffee and music, I think I would go a little bit crazy.
With all of this driving and listening to music, I’m really in need of some new stuff.  Pheonix and Bon Iver are amazing, but after you have listened to each of their albums what feels like 3 times in one traffic session… you are in need of something new.  Any suggestions??
