I’m really excited about a few things today.
#1- I have a little bit over a week left at my current job… Yes I gave my 2 weeks!! All so I have time to plan my wedding, photograph others weddings, attend/be a bridesmaid in a couple, get ready to move, work on various projects, as well as prepare my portfolio so I can find a new job in the LA area. (Where Nolan and I will be living when after we wed!)
#2- I’m stirring up ideas for my own re-brand/blog refresh. Its quite exciting/intimidating/overwhelming!
#3- The thing I’m MOST excited about right now is this:
If any of you are as big of fans as I am of Bri Emery’s blog Design Love Fest, then you probably saw THIS post she posted looking for an intern to help her out with her BLOGSHOP happening this weekend… Well of course I emailed her and guess what?? I was picked!! I am beyooond excited for this opportunity to learn, help out and hang out with some awesome people. I’m spending the rest of the night getting ready for this little adventure… first figuring out what I’m going to wear… hmmm…
In a few weeks I’m headed up to Oregon to see an amazing man and woman come together in marriage. I am so happy for these two and so excited to see what their future together holds. I just got a burst of excitement to head up there, so I thought I’d share it with you all!
Yaya!
Holy Moly. 35 years in the making, this sculpture is made up of over 100,000 toothpicks! Drop a ping pong ball or two down one of the many paths and it travels through the city of San Francisco! The details on this thing amaze me.
I get mad when things take me more than a few days to do…Talk about patience…

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile- but I was able to participate in an event at Sandals Church called Imago Dai, where artists came together to use their talents to reflect the image of God as our creator. This was my outcome!
I always love to paint, I don’t do it half as often as I should, but working with real materials and interacting physically with a piece always leaves me feeling refreshed.
Something I’ve been learning lately is that we cannot always control our lives. Things happen that we could never predict, we worry if things don’t go as expected, and stress over meaningless details. I’m learning to give up control and surrender my life and allow God to direct my sails. Its not easy- its an every day struggle, but so worth it.
Have a great Easter weekend everyone!
So theres a new beauty blog out there I’m really excited about. Its full of make-up tutorials, beauty inspirations, trends and tips (perfect for a girl like me who is clueless about this stuff). Not only was the entire blog designed by the amazing Bri Emery, but its co-authored by Lauren Conrad! yes thats LC from Laguna Beach and the Hills. And yes- I’m excited. Definitely guilty of obsessing over those shows for a bit! So I’m a big LC fan and a huge Bri Emery fan- so combining those two to create a blog sounds amazing. Check it out here! I’m hoping to get some good tips for lookin good on my wedding day :)
Thank you Vogue for helpin out the poor-ish people.

Yesterday my good friend Tina and I had the privilege of putting on our beautiful friend Erin Davison’s bridal shower! Tina and I had a blast baking and decorating cupcakes, putting together some yummy cucumber sandwiches and jars full of yellow and red (Erin’s wedding colors) candies for the girls to take home. I designed the tag personalized with every girl’s name on them, Tina made those adorable hair clips, we wrapped them in twine around the jar and handed them out!

It was so much fun and I was actually proud of the way the cupcakes turned out! I seem to always mess up when it comes to frosting cupcakes but I think this time it went halfway decent… haha.
The shower was a great time to hang out with old friends who I haven’t seen in waaay too long, and even make some new ones. Don’t cha just love love in all forms?! So fun!
Happy weekend everyone!
